Manifesting Your Best Self in 2019

We have welcomed 2019 with open arms and open minds as we set our sights on the year ahead of us. And while we love the feeling of a fresh start to a new year, this blank canvas can present itself to us daily if we allow it! After all, big dreams manifest one day at a time. Mindfully set your intentions based on ideas of enhancing yourself, fulfilling your desires, and encouraging growth in all aspects of your life.

Reflect

Find a quiet time and space, even if just for 5 minutes, and reflect on values, desires, and core intentions that are important to you. Then reflect on that which you would like to transition or change, and why.

Write It Out

Start writing words that come to you when you think about your intentions and desires. Words like authentic, kindness, power, healing, intuition, love, etc. Let your pen flow freely on the paper and see what comes out!

One Day at a Time

Each day, look back at your reflections and journal and make one small step towards your desires. Intentions run so much deeper than goals so it’s easier to take those steps a day at a time and bring to fruition your best self and life!

Our intention for 2019 is to connect, inspire, and empower through beauty and health! Join us on the journey to #inspirebeauty this year. 2019, we’re ready for ya.

How To Set Intentions for the New Year

As each year comes to a close and we reflect back, we also want to start shifting our thoughts forward on the year to come. Set your sights and intentions on 2018 and all that you want to manifest. It's always great to have goals, but intentions speak deeper and help drive to those goals. Let's learn exactly how to set these intentions so that they may come to fruition, highlighting our highest, most authentic self!

1. Create a safe space to clear your mind.

Setting intentions should come from the heart space. It is important your mind and heart are surrounded by positivity and that you are in a safe place to uncover that which you wish to manifest. Turn on some music that inspires you or sparks the creative side of your brain. Positive vibes are key here! We want to set intentions of growth, positivity, and love, so be sure your space represents that when brainstorming.
TIP: It may help to hold some crystals, or place them in your room to stimulate your thoughts and set the tone.

2. Harness the power of writing.

Writing down your thoughts as they come to you is a great place to start to really channel your heart's deepest desires. Get out of your own way, no rules, just write. Don't worry about punctuation or if what you're writing makes sense. Let the words flow onto the page and discover what your heart feels and wants when you read it back to yourself! This practice is truly magical and will help you conquer the roadblocks your brain puts in the way when trying to set your intentions for the new year.

3. Look inward.

Setting intentions different from setting goals. Intentions cannot be forced and must come from a heartfelt place as a way of living and being, as opposed to an action you would like to take. Though goals are extremely important and we should all have them, they tend to overwhelm us especially when the pressure of a new year comes around. Look inward to align your intentions with your heart's purpose and how you can use these intentions to pave the course of your life and your relationships with yourself and others.

4. Let your truest authenticity flow.

Osmosis President Robin McGee says, "We have all we need to achieve our desires within our own self," we just have to awaken it! Dig deep to bring your intentions to life. There are many practices that help you get in tune with your intuition and develop a deeper understanding and relationship with yourself. Whether it be yoga, meditation, journaling, or any other form of self-care, do some research to find a practice that resonates with you and start exercising your intuition muscles! This will play a large role in unveiling your hearts desires and intentions. Osmosis President, Robin McGee says, "It is empowering to know that your desires are under construction and it is the ultimate success to have them occur.".

We are so excited to begin the journey through a new year with you! Keep us posted with your intentions, progress, and practices to help you reach your goals and manifest those desires. Let your authentic self shine through!

Empower

Is it that time of year already? 2017 is just over the horizon and as it gets closer, we start reflecting on the past year - everything we accomplished, our highlights and every hurdle we jumped. The other thoughts that pop into our minds are the goals that may have fallen by the wayside. That's typically where the New Year's Resolutions start manifesting. While we love setting goals (crossing things off lists is, after all, a great feeling)... but how many of your New Year's Resolutions are re-do's from the past year, past two years or a re-run for the last decade? Yeah, us too! Don't fret, because this year, instead of making a list of goals most of us will forget about, we're choosing to ring in 2017 with one word in mind: EMPOWER. With this word, we're making a commitment to ourselves, to you, and to our well-being to be the best we can be without a list of New Year's Resolutions, because change starts within, not with a list. So join us in our #startwithin movement and say goodbye to New Year's Resolutions and say hello to the new, always improving and always fabulous you!

Here are some ways, to start your New Year off right without the stress!

1. Make small daily adjustments to better your internal, spiritual and emotional health. These adjustments should be small, building up momentum as the year (and you) move forward. Try meditating or journal every morning. Keep the thoughts positive. Try our Body Talk Meditation and start seeing results in the way you think of yourself.

2. Look at the past. That's right, take a long, hard look at all you accomplished in 2016. Make a list and revisit that list every time you are feeling stuck.

3. Say goodbye to the negative. While you look at your past years accomplishments, take note of the losses, misgivings and negative impacts from 2016. Once that list is complete give yourself an hour (no more and no less) to grieve, mourn, and accept the bad. Next, step outside and set that list on fire. In the words of Elsa, "let it go, let it go." Accepting the negative, letting it go and moving forward is an ideal task to complete before 2017 rolls in. Start fresh without having past "boo's" cloud your momentum and #StartWithin.

4. Positive affirmations. Write down, in one to two words on multiple sticky notes how you want to FEEL this coming year. Use our word, Empowered or Joyous, Content, Productive, Courage, Strength, Gratitude... the list goes on. Tape them up in places you will see everyday to remind yourself that every action you take should invoke one of those feelings.

5. Take small steps. Be sure to pay a little focus to small things that can impact your health in big ways. These steps should be easy to obtain, and should be taken day by day. It can be as small as flossing daily. Set a note up in your bathroom as a reminder. (DYK that flossing daily can decrease your risk for heart disease)? Keep the focus simple, unclouded and meaningful.

6. Gain gratitude. Let your grateful heart shine through your every pore. No matter what trials and wins you go through this coming year, know that they are stepping stones to personal growth. Throw shame out the window and hit your ups and downs head on. Share your gratitude with strangers. Tell someone at the coffee shop you like their hair, or that they look great today. Giving, after-all is the best way to make your heart sing.

Be empowered this coming year. Your life is in your hands alone and we want to help guide you to optimal wellness, inside and out. We are all in this together and we can't wait to see how you soar in 2017!

Let us know what you are doing to Empower yourself by using our 2017 hashtag: #startwithin.

Happy New Year to All from team Osmosis!

Healing the Gut for Healthy Skin

No one likes talking about their digestive issues... sometimes it's even tough telling our doctor about what goes on in the bathroom and hey, we get it. BUT most people don't attribute skin conditions to digestion issues. Science is still quite recently making the connection between the two and we are excited to be riding the cutting edge of research. Bloating, irregularity, cramps, IBS, acid reflux; these are all things we think about when we consider the ol' digestive situation. But did you know acne, psoriasis, eczema, rosacea and even gum disease can be exacerbated by poor digestion? Don't worry, we won't lecture you on clean eating... in this post at least, but it is of course important! But seriously, eat your veggies, eat clean, drink water, and find the perfect supplement for digestive health. Why not knock out two of those steps in one? Once in the morning, and once in the evening add 5 pumps of our Digestive Health Harmonized Water to (you guessed it) your water. Drink up!

Our Digestive Health Harmonized Water creates balance and healing of the gut. You will be truly amazed at what your skin can do once your insides experience harmony. When our digestion is in balance, our bodies are able to excrete toxins properly, whether that is through sweat, number 1's and 2's, or our fabulous lymphatic system, the elimination of toxins aids in the health of our skin. Balance is what your body craves and Digestive Health Harmonized Water is a great supplement to aid in getting your insides healthy. When your insides are at their optimal health, inflammation (a huge cause of many skin issues), is calmed which means bloating, redness, and flare ups of many skin conditions are lessened, and regularity is, well... regular. Now is the perfect time to make resolutions for the New Year, and resolving to get your digestion on track is a really easy one to stick to. All you have to do is drink water, and add our Digestive Health Harmonized Water to your hydrating routine. EASY huh?!?

Your New Year's Resolution? Remove your Makeup EVERY Night!

It's midnight, you've just binged watched a whole season of Gilmore Girls and you're ready for bed. You are so, so sleepy. The thought of hitting the pillow without washing your face tempts you, and you give in. You can wash your face in the morning, it's no big deal right? WRONG! So many women get in the habit of sleeping with their makeup on and it simply needs to stop. Not only does this create a flurry of bacteria on your skin, it gets on your pillow case, and in your pillow... causing even more germs to transfer back onto your skin. Next thing you know you have a giant honking zit on your face AND fine lines! We know many of you practice this habit, so we thought it would be nice of us to make a New Years Resolution for you this year. We are resolving that ALL of our Osmosis beauties will wash their face EVERY night before they catch zzz's. It is easy to create a simple, 4 step routine that takes mere minutes to complete. All you need is:

1. Melt Away Gelee Makeup Remover - Scoop a little out and warm up between your ring finger and thumb. Gently massage onto eyes to remove makeup, wipe with cotton round.
2. Deep Clean - Remove makeup and debris from the day.
3. Clear - Spritz onto your skin and press in with your fingers.
4. Treat with Replenish - a heavy dose of antioxidants to revive stressed skin while you sleep.

EASY! 4 steps, each taking less than 30 seconds. Washing your face each night allows your skin to breathe, repair, and rest. Sleeping with makeup on causes breakouts, early aging, dehydration and well... it's just gross, so stop it! We hope you take our resolution to heart and wash those faces!!

See you next year (hardy-had-har)!
