The cause of this eczema, acne-looking hybrid is vast, stemming from internal gut issues to topical products you use that cause it to flare up. Perioral Dermatitis is often misdiagnosed, or treated with topical antibiotic or steroid creams, which actually exacerbate the symptoms. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) is another irritating ingredient found in toothpaste, facial cleansers, and shampoos that can greatly effect PD. We are so close to shorts, sun dresses, and flip flop weather we can hardly stand it! That means showing a bit more skin, which means you must be protected! We like to call summer SPF season (though you NEED to wear SPF daily… throughout the year). With summer comes the possibility for sun damage, dark spots and uneven skin. We have created the perfect lightening and brightening facial to reduce pigment problems and keep your skin even and balanced all summer long!
Step 1. Boil 2 cups of water. Once water is hot, pour in a heat safe bowl. Drape a towel over your head while leaning into the steam from the hot water. Steam your skin for 5 minutes to open your pores and prep them for your at-home treatment.
Step 2: Cleanse skin with Purify, gently cleanse in small circular motions pushing cleanser up towards the forehead, then rinse.
Step 3: Apply a quarter size amount of Polish to the skin. Allow to sit for 5-7 minutes. Apply a warm towel to skin and without applying pressure, allow it to remain on skin until lukewarm in temperature. Gently lift towel and use to remove any excess.
Step 4: Apply 2 pumps of Rescue and a nickel size amount of Repair to the skin. Spritz Clear Plus+ on top and gently massage the product into the skin for deeper penetration. Allow to sit for 15 minutes. Apply a warm towel to skin and without applying pressure, allow it to remain on skin until lukewarm in temperature. Gently lift towel and use to remove any excess.
Step 5: Apply 2 pumps of Enlighten to hyperpigmented areas on face, neck, and décolleté.
Step 6: Spritz skin with 4 pumps of Clear Plus+, then using gentle pressure, massage Clear Plus+ Into the skin.
Step 7: Apply a dime size amount of Shade or Protect to the face, neck, and décolleté for protection.
*Note, when doing a lightening treatment, SPF if the most important factor in keeping skin bright, protected, and keeping the results of this facial intact.* This facial experience is perfect for gaining a brighter complexion and treating hyperpigmentation! Ahhhhhh Winter. It's here, and we don't think it's going anywhere anytime soon. This season can be pretty tough on your skin, dryness sets in and your glow slightly fades. Sometimes getting in for a professional facial is just too much with holiday stress, icy roads, lacing up winter boots (the worst!) We want to make your winter skin care routine a little easier with a winter ritual you can treat yourself to once a week. So make yourself a hot cup of tea... or coffee, and set aside 30 minutes of pure, uninterrupted you time.
Step 1. Look in the mirror and say "Hey, good looking!"
Step 2. Give your senses a ZING with Cleanse, our pepperminty cleanser to draw out and remove impurities. Rinse with warm water.
Step 3. Apply in circular motions Purify, an enzymatic power house cleanser to remove deep impurities. Let it sit on the skin, uninterrupted for 3 minutes. Then remove with a warm wash cloth.
Step 4. Give your skin a firm up with Polish. Our cranberry enzyme scrub to gently remove dead skin cells and brighten the complexion. Rinse with warm water.
Step 5. Slay bacteria and heal your skin with a lemony dose of Clear Plus. Spritz on your skin and gently press it in with your finger tips.
Step 6. Massage one pump of Stem Factor with one spray of Clear Plus and a generous amount of Hydralift Firming Gel Mask onto your face, neck and decollete. Allow it to sit on your skin for 10 minutes then rinse with warm water.
Step 7. Using one pump of Catalyst AC-11 (our anti-aging all star), massage your skin starting from your forehead, working your way gently down to your neck using soft, light touches.
Step 8. Drench your skin with hydration and moisture with Quench. Don't forget your neck, ears and chest!
Step 9. Say, Ahhhhhhhhh while breathing deeply.
