Breast Cancer Awareness Month - How You Can Help

At this point, it's no secret that at Osmosis spreading awareness in regards to health issues is important to us. This month is no exception. October represents the month of Breast Cancer Awareness and the fight to find a cure. Staying on top of your exams with your Doc and yourself is beyond important for early detection. We know, mammograms are not an ideal test to get done, it's uncomfortable but vital to your health and so important to go in every year to get your breasts checked. Remember, if breast cancer runs in your family or you have a positive BRCA 1 or 2 mutation, MRI's and mammograms are suggested in 6 month increments in order to stay on top of your breast health.

How else can you help the fight against breast cancer?

Share: Speak up for those who have been diagnosed, direct them to Beyond The Shock and be there for them in their time of need.

Be Active: It's easy to host a fundraiser to help provide necessary funds to further research for a cure. From a run, to a fun women's only party (with a wine auction maybe?) you can help create awareness by helping our incredibly passionate scientists to find a permanent cure for this cancer that effects roughly 246, 660 women per year.

Use SAFE Products: Osmosis is proud to have a large amount of  Oncology Friendly  products. What does this mean? These products will not, under any circumstances, cause or increase cancerous cells. Using noncarcinogenic products makes quite a difference. Your skin absorbs EVERYTHING you put on it, that is why we take such care to provide you with products that have been approved as safe for sensitive and compromised skin.

Be Proud: WEAR your pink! We love showing off our pride in our health by wearing First Kiss Lipstick all month long. Wear yours this month to show your pride in your health and the health of others.

Support: Find support for yourself or your loved ones. has a wonderful portal to find a community of support, just for you. It is easy to isolate yourself when you are going through a hard time, but one of the most important things to do for you, is to surround yourself with empathy. It's more healing and uplifting than you think.

This month, take a moment to be thankful for your life, thankful for your health, and thankful for those around you who enrich your life.  Be bold this Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
